Science Park



A grand Science Park was inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal D Mukundan AVSM, VSM, Staff Officer In charge, Administration, Training Command, Bangalore and Chairman LBA, Sainik School, Bijapur on 29 April 2010. There are nearly 20 models on display in the lawns of the garden in front of the Kanti Auditorium. This is going to be a centre for ‘do and learn’. Models are mostly Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics concept based. Each model has its explanation chart placed by the side. This is a valuable gift to the children.

NDA Hall Text

NDA Hall :
A spacious hall that can accommodate about 600 students for conduct of examinations is being built alongside the Chemistry Lab near the School quadrangle. It stands behind the auditorium and in front of the mess. It will be ready for use in six months from now. The building shall be used as NDA Motivation Centre and a multipurpose hall. It shall have furniture and LCD Projection Systems. This facility shall add to the quality of training.

Sports Pavilion

Sports Pavilion
The School Parade ground is vast and imposing open space in front of the majestic School building. The ground accommodates two Hockey and two foot ball courts. Great amount of sweat of the Ajeets have fallen here doing NCC parade and playing evening games. This also is a Venue for Annual Athletic Meets. Inter Sainik School’s Zonal and Inter Zonal and sometimes national tournaments are held in the same ground. Now four stepped pavilion laid with marble stones and canopy to shade from sun shelter from rain is being built. The work is in progress. The cadets will be able to watch the inter house matches and Athletic meet events from this pavilion soon.

Squash Court

At present School has hockey, foot ball, basket ball and volley ball tournaments. Juniors also play cricket and Kho kho. Shortly, the cadets will have training to hold squash racquets and play inter house tournaments. The construction of the four high rise walls and the roof is completed. The plastering work is in progress. The flooring and the glass wall need to be done. This indoor games facility is coming up near the gymnasium and swimming pool complex.

Green Campus

Green Campus
The initiative to add to the beauty and looks of the campus is on. Every year some part of the campus land is brought under tree plantation. While keeping the existing plants alive and healthy during summer months is a challenge, adding new plants is a greater challenge. We have about six good yielding bore wells and three huge ancient Adilshahi period open wells to depend on, for water supply. We have in the campus many small patches of land under plantation. To start ,on both sides of the main entrance-behind the bank building and the obstacles course area, between the main building and the parade ground, behind thy gymnasium and swimming pool, around the Ajeet Bhavan , on the way to the School Orchard and farm. The google maps show all these locations and green patches distinctly. We are proud to be part of the global initiatives to preserve the mother earth in its healthiest form.

Adilshahi Period Wells

Sainik School Bijapur -Adilshahi Period Wells
There are three Adilshahi period open wells located near Hanuman temple adjacent to Takke Village. They are part of the ‘School Dairy and Farm’. These open wells are fitted with water pumping systems to irrigate the farming operations and plantation of trees in the campus. These open wells are high yielding water source to our ambitious green campus drive.
